  Vorteile durch Energieeinsparung und optimale Ausleuchtung

 

Die beiden ersten mit modernster LED-Beleuchtung ausgestatteten Tankstellen der Westfalen AG stehen in Lippstadt. Es handelt sich dabei um die Westfalen-Station in Lipperode und die Markant-Tankstelle an der Beckumer Straße. Dort trafen sich der Vorstandsvorsitzende der Westfalen AG, Wolfgang Fritsch-Albert, und Dr. Wolfgang Ollig, Geschäftsführungsmitglied der Hella KGaA Hueck & Co., um das Ergebnis der neuen Beleuchtungstechnik zu begutachten. Nach einem ersten Test an der Westfalen-Tankstelle in Oelde stattete Hella die zwei Stationen in Lippstadt aus. Bei zugleich gleichmäßigerer Ausleuchtung werden rund 70 Prozent Energie eingespart.

»Das Sicherheitsempfinden unserer Gäste wird durch die neue Lichttechnik spürbar verbessert«, so Fritsch-Albert. Außerdem senke die LED-Technik dauerhaft die Kosten bei Wartung und Reparatur der Beleuchtung um etwa 800 Euro pro Jahr und Tankstelle. Die Investitionskosten für die Umrüstung der 260 Westfalen-/Markant-Tankstellen bis 2015 auf die LED-Technik von Hella beziffert Westfalen auf nahezu 2 Mio. Euro.

 

»Damit senkt die Westfalen AG außerdem die aus der Beleuchtung resultierenden CO2-Emissionen um mehr als eine halbe Tonne pro Leuchte und Jahr«, hebt Dr. Ollig die Vorteile für den Klimaschutz hervor. Bezogen auf das gesamte Westfalen-Tankstellennetz ergebe das eine Einsparung von etwa 1 000 Tonnen jährlich.

 

Um Energieverbrauch und Schadstoffemissionen zu reduzieren, testet die Westfalen AG an ihren Tankstellen auch solarthermische Anlagen und Wärmerückgewinnungsverfahren. An 160 Stationen werden bereits Wasseraufbereitungsanlagen betrieben (Quelle: Westfalen AG).
