Netter Filmabend mit „Die Drei von der Tankstelle“

Kennen Sie noch den alten Universum-Klassiker "Die Drei von der Tankstelle"? Lange nicht gesehen? Wie wäre es dann mit einem netten Filmabend mit Willy, Kurt und Hans?
Für alle, die die Geschichte doch nicht kennen sollten, sei sie hier kurz zusammengefasst – ohne selbstverständlich allzu viel zu verraten. Die 3 Freunde Willy, Kurt und Hans sind bis auf den letzten Cent abgebrannt. Trotzdem verwirklichen sie sich den Traum von der eigenen Tankstelle. Alle drei verlieben sich jedoch in die schöne Lilian, was zu einigen Turbulenzen führt. Dennoch gibt es am Ende ein großes Happy End.
Sowohl die Fassung von 1930 mit Willy Fritsch, Oskar Karlweis und Heinz Rühmann als auch die Neuverfilmung von 1955 (diesmal mit Adrian Hoven, Walter Müller und Germaine Damar) gibt es mittlerweile selbstverständlich auf DVD.

 

"Die Drei von der Tankstelle" wird in den Filmdatenbanken unter dem Genre Filmoperette geführt. Es handelt sich um eine witzige Story, begleitet von legendärer Musik. Zu den wohl bekanntesten Liedern des Films gehört der Titel "Ein Freund, ein guter Freund", den man heute wohl in das Genre Volksmusik und Schlager einordnen könnte. Der im Original von den Comedian Harmonists gesungene Evergreen erfreut sich auch heute noch großer Beliebtheit und ist vielfach gecovert worden – angefangen von Max Raabe mit seinem Palastorchester über Rühmanns (Sch)Erben bis hin zur Punk- & Hard Rock-Band die Böhse Onkelz.

 

In den 30er Jahren war der Soundtrack noch kein fester Bestandteil der Vermarktungsstrategie für einen Film, dennoch hält beispielsweise das Lexikon des internationalen Films fest: "Der … Film, der durch seinen virtuosen Umgang mit Erzählung, Tanz und integrierter Musik eine neue filmische Form erfand, mit der er das US-Musical vorwegnahm." Man könnte damit "Die Drei von der Tankstelle" als richtungsweisenden Film bezeichnen – ähnlich wie man dies heute bei James Camerons "Avatar" macht. Generell trägt die Hintergrundmusik zu einem guten Film bei. Sie soll die Gefühle und Emotionen unterstützen und durch die Handlung führen. Heutzutage hat der Soundtrack zum Film einen festen Platz in der Verwertungs- und Marketing-Mix-Kette. Er wird entweder bereits parallel zum Kino oder aber direkt im Anschluss (noch vor Veröffentlichung auf DVD) herausgebracht. Dabei schaffen es einige Auskopplungen von Blockbustern bis an die Spitze der Pop-Charts. Hier seien nur als zwei Beispiele von vielen Celine Dions "My heart will go on" aus Titanic und Phil Collins "You’ll be in my heart." aus Disney’s Tarzan genannt. Die Zahl der sehr guten Filmmusik-Komponisten ist überschaubar. Einen Namen mit legendärer Filmmusik haben sich beispielsweise Hans Zimmer, James Horner, Ennio Morricone oder Howard Shore gemacht.
